SERP is a page where results are shown for the search query entered into any search engine like Google.

  • Keyword

keywords are words or phrases present in the web content, that are used by people to find your website using search engine results. For example, to find this blog, keywords would be “SEO Terms” or “Must Know SEO Terms”.

  • Keyword Stuffing

Adding irrelevant keywords or repeating keywords at an excess level onto a webpage hoping to increase search rankings is called keyword stuffing.

  • Do-Follow Link and No-Follow Link

Links help search engines to know the relationship between two websites. 

Do-Follow Link – when a link is sent from the first website to the second with Do Follow the link, that means, the first website passes link authority to the second website.

No-Follow Link – when a link is sent from the first website to the second with the No-Follow link, that means, the first website doesn’t pass any link authority to the second website.

  • Inbound links

Links that are coming on your website from any other website is called are called inbound links.

  • Outbound links

Links that are going out of your website (or you link) to another website are known as outbound links.

  • Sitemap 

The sitemap is a file where you list all the pages of a website.

  • Anchor Text 

The clickable word or words in the link are called Anchor Text. For example: if you want to link “SEO Words” to another site, then these words are Anchor Text.

  • HyperLink 

The link given to Anchor Text is called a hyperlink.

  • Click-Through Rate (CTR)

Click Through Rate is a percentage of clicks on organic search results.

  • Bounce Rate 

Bounce Rate is the percentage of website visitors who leave the site without checking other pages. 

  • Crawler

Crawler is a program used by search engines to crawl the web. Bots visit webpages and collect/store/update their information on search engine’s index.

  • Domain Authority 

The overall value (strength) of a website that has been built over time.
